Privacy Policy
Effective August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SharMed (“SharMed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit sharmeddevices.com or contact us about a potential project. This policy applies to the public website and website-originated inquiries. Customer or supplier information covered by a separate written agreement is governed by that agreement as applicable.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
If you prepare or send a project inquiry, you may provide your name, company, business email address, phone number, project stage, service of interest, estimated quantity, desired timeline, and a non-confidential project description. The website prepares an email in your email application; information is transmitted to SharMed only when you choose to send that email.
Technical information
Our website hosting, security, and network providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as an IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, pages requested, and security or diagnostic logs. Essential security cookies may be used to detect malicious traffic and keep the website available.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to inquiries and evaluate whether SharMed may be a fit for a proposed project;
- communicate about requested services, quotes, meetings, or next steps;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our communications; and
- comply with applicable law, protect our rights, and prevent misuse.
Confidential and health information
Do not send trade secrets, proprietary device specifications, patient-identifying information, protected health information, or other sensitive information through the website inquiry process. If a project requires confidential information, contact us first so the parties can determine whether an appropriate written confidentiality agreement and secure exchange method are needed.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers that support website hosting, security, domain services, and business email; to professional advisers when reasonably necessary; in connection with a business transaction; or when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use website inquiry information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and tracking signals
SharMed does not currently configure advertising or behavioral analytics trackers on this website. Essential security technologies may operate as described above. Because the website does not currently engage in behavioral advertising, it applies the same limited practices regardless of browser “Do Not Track” settings. We will update this policy if our practices materially change.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to evaluate and respond to the inquiry, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no email or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you provided, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs. You may also ask questions about our privacy practices by emailing projects@sharmeddevices.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
This business-to-business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
